The expansion of New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort was one of the largest expansions at anyone of our Disney parks. Not only the largest but the only park that would now feature multiple castles and bring to life classic Disney stories in a new and exciting way. Being tasked with exciting the media, the initial thought was to do what we do best and reveal the stories of each of the attractions to be revealed and walk the media and guest of the Media press event thru all that the expansion has to offer.
Pulling from nostalgia inspiration was that of “Golden Books”, a classic medium used to tell stories would be used to tell the story of the newest explanation at Walt Disney World Parks. In true Golden book fashion, we utilized a gold pattern that not only lived on the spine of the books as it traditionally does but also created a sleeve that encompassed the entire piece, allowing for a reveal of the artwork of the book.
This piece would be the story of New Fantasyland and would be an introduction to all that would await the media prior to their arrival. The story of New Fantasyland would be real in just a couple of weeks for the anxious media.
